The mission of the Expressive Therapies Center is to be the "loving hands and feet of Christ" to those whose psychological condition has left them marginalized, neglected, and hurting.
To offer hope where hope fades. To offer comfort where comfort wanes. But most importantly, to offer healing where healing seems impractical or impossible. our history
The Expressive Therapies Center initially set out to help soldiers, sailors, and airmen suffering the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It has since expanded to include all victims of PTSD and trauma. The center itself is based upon the idea that beauty – especially that joyous beauty found in art, music and dance – can aid in the healing of the pain caused by traumatic experiences.
